In my presentation, Muses’ Whispering, I guide the audience into a stilling, audiovisual communion with nature. A collection of some thirty ‘Whispers’ now exists – audiovisual nature tales – each focusing on the beauty of the nature that surrounds us. I developed these Whispers by turning artistic nature photographs, based on a single theme, into a cohesive story and then finding suitable accompanying music. The presentation unfolds over approximately two hours, including a break of approximately 20 minutes. During the presentation, there is plenty of time to view about ten Whispers together and discuss them afterwards. I consider interaction with the audience fascinating and important: I am happy to respond to questions and comments.

The selection of ‘Whispers’ I show is tailored to the specific group for whom I am giving a presentation. I usually provide a broad range of subjects, combined with a great diversity in musical styles. Photo clubs often have special requests; for example, talks where the emphasis was on my development as an artistic nature photographer, on ICM (Intentional Camera Movement), or on ultra-macro photography. The composition of the program can be arranged in consultation.
I have all the equipment needed to make the presentation a success: an HD projector, a projection screen (2.50m x 1.88m), a laptop, and a sound system (amplifier and two speakers). I need about 1.5 hours for setup, and it would be helpful if someone could provide minor assistance.
After the presentation, all attendees will be able to review all the shown Whispers at home on their PC or phone for one week. For this, I provide access to a password-protected Vimeo channel.

In recent years, I gave over thirty presentations for a widely varied audience. Highlights include my presentation during the regional celebration of 100 years of the Fotobond (Royal Netherlands Photographic Society), specifically for District 11, together with District 12 (South Holland South) and Zeeland photo clubs at the splendid Lijm & Cultuur venue in Delft (2022); my contributions to the Nature Talks Photo Festival (2019 and 2020); and the presentation at the Jan van Besouw Cultural Center in Goirle as part of Photography Café Goirle (2019).
In addition, I visited various photo clubs, reflection centers, and cultural centers. I also gave presentations during the Open Christmas Eve at the UMC Silence Center (2019), at the De Hoevens Natural Burial Ground in Alphen (2017), and at Groeneveld Castle in Baarn (2016).
Together with pianist Jeroen van Vliet (winner of the 2014 Buma Boy Edgar Prize), I developed a multimedia art project called Illuminance. Our performance premiered in April 2023 in the nearly sold-out, beautiful theatre hall of CC Jan van Besouw in Goirle. We are also happy to be invited for a presentation/performance.
